Lithograph on paper, 23 x 17"
$150.00
edition of 17

Made a drawing on foil and turned it into an instant lithography plate. #kitchenlitho
Printed 18, hung them on the studio wall, and colored them together.
Eddie’s bike is a favorite muse.
Working this way—between mechanical and expressive— gets my Warhol on.

This print is a kitchen lithograph made from a freehand drawing of Eddie’s bike, drawn directly from observation and printed using an alternative lithography process. Kitchen lithography allows me to work quickly and directly, translating the original drawing into a printing plate and preserving the immediacy and physical quality of the mark.

The image is printed on Stonehenge Kraft paper, whose warm tone becomes part of the composition. The edition is limited to 17 prints. After printing, each piece is individually hand colored using gouache and tempera. I often work on multiple prints at the same time, allowing the edition to evolve together while each print retains subtle differences. The result is a piece that is a multiple, closer to an original painting than a reproduction.
