Happy and sad to be starting the year off
working with the bike of an old friend.
This trike is awesome!
So sweet from every angle
the future awaits!

Psyched to have Austin's Bike in the studio!
Alvin Drysdale built lightweight bicycles in Manhattan,
working from the 1920s until the 1950s.
He made bikes with his own name, such as Drysdale Special,
and with other names including Alvin and Velox.
These started off as prints
line drawing monotypes
that didn't come out,
for technical reasons.
So I used the blocks of ink
as a base for little sketches
to explore my idea further.
