Christian's Humber - Drawing
I love this bike. The old, reworkedness about it.
The light and tough simple.
lovely.

This is my Schwinn Fleet—a 1960s classic I’ve had for about 20 years. It’s a heavy, beautiful cruiser, and I’ve drawn it many times.
Cycles Follis, founded in 1903 and once based on rue Danton in Lyon, was a legendary artisan builder in the French bicycle world. This sweet little road bike fits me perfectly—and Scott was kind enough to loan it to me so I could paint it.
These drawings continue my "unfinished/finished" approach. I love the rhythm of having some parts fully realized and others just suggested. It’s a satisfying way to work on my drawing—balancing detail with looseness, structure with gesture.
A place for the in-between pieces—the experiments, studies, and strays that have been kicking around the studio. These works may not have fit into a series at the time, but they’ve found their moment now.
Eddie’s bike is one of my favorite muses.
It’s back in the studio—helping me explore new drawings, chase ideas, and get something moving.
The BSA is a favorite muse of mine.
Drawing to get a flow going. Eddie’s bike is great for practice as it is simple and beautiful
Totally stoked to be sketching Dave on the rollers,
I have ideas...
