inspired an old print

I love the pooling color 

the balance between control and chaos...

This is the fourth time I've revisted the idea
pushing watercolor through a grid of bicycles
in this  size format.
It's interesting how each time is different.

 

Alvin Drysdale built lightweight bicycles in Manhattan,
working from the 1920s until the 1950s.
He made bikes with his own name, such as Drysdale Special,
and with other names including Alvin and Velox.
