Simon's Humber

40x30"

At the end of the jumble we went home with Simon's 1967 Humber. It is complete and so cute. I love this kind of bike, a 3 speed that is a design statement. Dave put it in the cargo bike, upright with the back wheel in the basket. It was a nailbiter, thankfully we made it home safely.

Velox Ace - Sketch Prints

9x7"

These screen prints are based on sketches of a Velox Ace, built by Manhattan frame builder Alvin Drysdale, who worked from the 1920s through the 1950s. This particular bike was is from 1937—I like to imagine it taking the turns at Madison Square Garden or the Coney Island Velodrome.
