New small prints built from an older road bike sketch, printed in dark mauve and black on Stonehenge Cream, then layered with colored 4×6" rectangles.

I’ve been working with this format since 2008. These pieces let me focus on color — how it shifts, reacts, and holds space — sometimes thinking about Kelly, Rothko, or a Newman-like edge of color.

They can stand alone or be grouped together, where the rectangles make a rhythm.

Made the drawings and plates and printed the black on these back in February when Squid’s bike was in the studio. Took them back out to finish with color.
