clinging to every gesture and expression.
Feeling his joy.

so painful to see him
also relief.

I can't get enough.
 

it has been a few months since my brother died.
and everyday it's a shock.
the hardest struggle ever for our family.
Finding how to remember and honor him
while living life
moving forward in a positive way

This great craft show is happening this weekend at the Brooklyn Expo Center.
It's an awesome place to pick up fun creative gifts and the only holiday fair I'm doing this year!!
Spending today getting ready, hope to see you this weekend!!

It was a beautiful day in NYC when my folks and I hit the museums.

We saw Modigliani at the Jewish Museum

the excellent show was mostly early work and drawings
it was cool to see the progression of his work 
also to think of it within what was happening at the time
both politically and within the arts.

we strolled down to the Met and took in the amazing Michelangelo show
how cool to see inperson, drawings I have seen in reproduction forever.
looking forward to seeing the show again

and also the Hockney show, there is so much good stuff at the Met Museum right now

and this weird painting!

despite the sub par weather.
I met my friend Pit at Pier 5 to watch her son's flag football game.
Afterwich we jumped on our bikes 
headed over the Brooklyn Bridge
to Trans Alt's Day of Rememberence

Our Plan to ride up River Road
didn't seem like such a good idea 
with the high winds 

so we rode up to the Little Red Light House instead.

Perfect.

Today I went to drawing class
then walked around the lower east side looking at galleries
Alicia McCarthy was the great new discovery and favorite of the day
